Flat Transfer I have got my flat transferred in my name after using the RTI Act twice. Firstly, when I approached MHADA for the name transfer of my flat, they made me run from top to bottom and did not cooperate with me. Then I made the use of RTI Act to know my legal dues with MHADA which they were not providing me earlier. The use of RTI Act not only helped in knowing the legal dues, but also expedited the transfer procedure. I paid my dues and waited for the regularization and final letter from MHADA but the officials of the Cooperative Cell Department, M.B.R. & R. Board (MHADA) once again delayed my transfer process by asking for additional documents. After that I made use of R.T.I. Act for the second time and asked for the present stage of action taken in my case and the number of days it will take for the transfer to be done. The Cooperative Cell Department immediately provided me the regularization letter and after some days the final letter, without asking for any other documents. Finally the transfer was done after six months. Thus the use of R.T.I. Act has helped me to get the flat transferred to my name. I have also taken up a fight against the incompetent MHADA officials and recently I have made a second appeal to the Chief Information Commissioner to penalize the PIO of the Cooperative Cell Department, M.B.R. & R. Board, (MHADA) for providing me the information under R.T.I. Act after 111 days. Later on, I will make more appeals to the Chief Information Commissioner against MHADA officials for making a mockery of the R.T.I. Act as they have provided me information late under the R.T.I. Act four times. All the above has given me lots of encouragement and I have self motivated myself to bring some positive changes and betterment in society and plan to consistently work for that by using the R.T.I. Act. - Mr. Krishnachand Yadav |
