PCGT functions on voluntary donations from corporations / High Networth Individuals (HNIs) interested in promoting transparency and honesty in public life.
➤ Donations to PCGT are exempted u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act.
➤ PCGT programmes including Youth For Governance (YFG), Kuchh Aur and RTI come under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes (education). Corporates can sponsor any / all of the above programmes and provide funds for the year under their CSR programme.
➤ High Networth Individuals (HNIs) can contribute to the corpus funds of PCGT, which would be utilised towards the above programmes.
➤ Citizens can fund PCGT with a minimum amount of ₹ 500/- as their contribution towards building a better society.
